Once again, it is my turn to choose TOTW. This week's honor goes to Michael Foster for his work titled Costa II. My scrolling came to a halt when I first saw it. I had a list of 5 works, Costa II quickly rose to the top. I admire the challenge of turning the piece. I also love the clever way it's displayed with that base. My only concern would be that someone could break the corner while removing it. But, I bet Michael made sure it can fit on all 4 corners, lol
The turning technique and measurements are also flawless. Congratulations Michael!!

Nice choice Emiliano! This piece also caught my eye because of several things. The turning technique is so well done. The contrasting woods, (finishes?), and forms are polar opposite and the quirkiness of the composition are all top shelf. There’s something uneasy about the piece which isn’t a bad thing... sort of outside my comfort zone. It’s growing on me from my initial viewing but still has my head tilted, lol! Nicely done and very interesting Michael!
