My selection for turning of the week is Cherry Bowl by @John Shannon

This bowl checks all the boxes for me: great form, great embellishment (not necessary, but when done it has to be great), and great photo. Allowing us to see a bit of the smooth natural interior provides the just the right amount of contrast against the beautifully textured exterior. The subtle paint pallet applied to the texture perfectly complements the natural color of the interior.

Very nice, John. I especially like the dark and coarse striations that contrast with the smoother and various depth indentations. And the metallic looking band at the rim tops it off nicely. Nice choice, Kevin.

Outstanding choice Kevin, terrific piece John. Something I never considered when using rough burrs…varying the texture direction for a visual effect…nicely done!
