I was having a huge challenge for my TOTW selection passing over Mesquite Vase with Polymer Clay Milleflori by Andy Chen. Andy’s effort is a perfect example of segmenting (of course, lol), using amazing alternative mediums with natural wood and using creative problem solving techniques in creating this beauty; truly the trifecta! The feature ring is nicely obvious with the creative use of the Millefiori Polymer Clay. Imagine slicing off thin layers of this polymer clay and creating this terrific scene as Andy has…no easy task and so nicely laid out. Read Andy’s description of the processes used in creating this ring; if you know Andy, this is sooo Andy in detail and exactness. Then using the segmented Mesquite as the pallet to frame the ring completes a perfectly blended Nature’s masterpiece. Congratulations on a tremendous effort @Andy Chen !!
