When selecting a Turning of the Week, I look for exceptional work that emphasizes the breadth of woodturning. Exceptional photography goes a long way in making my selection when a two-dimensional image depicts a three-dimensional subject. My selection this week, "Woven Seat Stool" by Nino G. Cocchiarella checks all these boxes. I especially love the low-key photography that uses shadows to add depth to a two-dimensional image.
