My choice for TOTW for September 15th, 2025 is “Carved Chaco Passages” by @Jim McLain.

Jim does a lot of excellent work, but the pieces in his Chaco series are my favorites … especially this one! He always uses contrasting textures and colors that come together to complement each other so well. I love the subtle coloring of the brickwork and the recessed windows. The relatively new element of the ‘missing bricks’ adds a new dimension to this series that I really like, and the bright turquoise is just the icing on the cake. Well done, Jim!

Tom - Not sure why but this piece has never showed up in the banner as turning of the week.

Hey Jim, I’ll get it put up in a few minutes. I’ve been out of town the last few days and have just now logged on.

Congrats, by the way!!! Your Chaco pieces are so memorable, this one included.

Nice choice, Tom!

Always a pleasure viewing one of your beauties Jim! Your coloring is always so well blended/ natural looking. I love the depth you’ve developed on this piece and the pebbly turquoise waterfall from top to bottom is a terrific add! Congratulations on TOTW and outstanding choice Tom!!
