This week's honor goes to Jim Hills for his work "Textured Ash Bowl." I appreciate the excellent picture he took; it truly makes me stop and take a second look. I love the design, especially the Calabash shape. The application of the acrylics is fantastic. It conveys a message that invites you to pick it up, feel it, and experience its weight. Congratulations, Jim!

Outstanding choice Emiliano! This is a real eye catcher for sure! Congratulations Jim! I’m curious as to how you developed that texture! My guess is Saburtooth burrs nicely used and then colored. The effect with the ridges is all that much sweeter with your coloring! Lovely effort!

Congrats, Jim. Nice form and great colors. I like how the vertical grooves interrupt the rim ... happy accident or intentional? ;) Either way ... I think it works!
