Sometimes, the beauty of the wood takes center stage. And William Rogers’ Ambrosia Maple Platter shines brilliantly. William created a form - a shallow platter - that showcased the stunning ambrosia streaks created by the beetle larvae of the same name. Well done, William, on the platter and the sale.

It's wonderful when the wood is the star and the turner succeeds in getting out of the way. This piece just leapt out of the gallery, simple motif nicely executed, but a striking result. Well done, William. Well done.

Thanks for selecting it, Donna.
