My selection for turning of the week is OUROBOROS by Heather Marusiak.
This sculptural turning seems to jump off the screen demanding to be more closely seen.
A stunning flow of curves, scale like textures, and colors. A moving creature frozen in time with light playing off the surfaces.
The pedestal is a sweet compliment providing support without drawing attention away from the main event.

Congratulations, Heather. Love this piece! I think this is my new favorite of all your wonderful work.
Great choice, Al. This would have been my selection as well ... but knew it probably would be selected before it was my turn.

Wow, thank you so much for the honor! I learned a lot on this piece and I look forward to refining and expanding my technique moving forward. Thanks to everyone that took the time to view and comment.

Heather, your skills are masterful. Any of us duffers could make a cone, but one that long and thin? And find just the right angles? And then the incredible surface treatment? And coloring. Amazing. Exceptional. Exquisite. Masterful.
