Using the Sharpening DVD

Multiple people have asked how the DVD can be played in their CD player in a computer. Quite simply it cannot be played in a CD player.

It is a DVD, just like a DVD which you might rent from a video store like Blockbuster. It will work in any standard DVD player that is hooked to a TV.

It will work in some computers if they have special DVD player software installed, and there is a DVD unit hooked to the computer (or installed in the computer). It will definitely not work in a CD player.

Here I thought you were going to tell us how to glue some sandpaper to it so we could hone our tools!

That is possible! But it will make some interesting sounds with that sandpaper when you spin it up in your DVD player.

Hi Bill

I prefer a softer backing for sanding.

However you might turn a small handle and point that fits snuggly in the hole and you'll have a spinning top.
