I love this lathe, and if I was using it often enough to justify it....I would make space for it to say in the stable. But - with another one on the way....you know the drill. Now, the pertinents:
It has VERY LITTLE use on it. In fact, I bought it and it was still on the original shipping pallet, in storage. I used it less than 10 hours. It is the 3Hp. version. It has some "extras" including 2 chucks ( EXPENSIVE CHUCKS) some faceplates, 3 additional spindle size adapters. These are "bayonet mounts" which IMHO the best way to adapt to different spindle sizes for the sake of accuracy and safety. There is also a spare remote. The remote on the VB controls speed and direction of spin - has an emergency stop, and 2 different ramp up - ramp down settings. I also have the original manual/book that came with it.
Now - if you want to order a new one, they are now made in Germany rather than the UK. And the paint job is a nice blue and yellow. But the landed cost for one will be approximately $22,000. (No, I am not kidding or exaggerating.)
You can turn 36" diameter pieces - and still have a tailstock connection to the piece. If you want - you can turn one knob, and slide the tailstock bar out, and then turn an object close to 90" in diameter.
But mine - in near pristine condition - is $6500. And...if you are going to SWAT, for a very reasonable amount, I can bring it to Waco. Other delivery options can be discussed if need be.
Thanks for looking!
