I wonder if anyone has a Vicmarc #3 Escoulen chuck gathering dust. I have some ideas I'd like to explore, but not enough to buy a new one.

Hi Angelo,
So sorry for the lengthy delay. I've been preoccupied with some unforeseen issues requiring attention.
To your question - I am still looking. Bob has presented an opportunity with the original Escoulen chuck he has, which I'm still working to understand the differences between it and the most recent Vicmarc design and implications. That said if you have interest in selling the new design one, I am interested as that answers issues of accessory compatibility as well as an improved counterweight system. Please DM me, or if you know more about the original one and compatibilities with the new accessories.

I am also interested in an Escoulen chuck. I specifically want the ball adapter with the screw ball and accompanying faceplate. I have a 1-1/4x8 spindle thread. Either the #2 or the #3 would work.
