Walnut and Curly Maple Bowl

I started a bowl for donation this week. It will be mostly Walnut with a Curly Maple feature ring; very similar to my avatar image, but round instead of elliptical. It will finish about 16" x 6". Yesterday, I made the segmented rings:

Have not seen using a chain as a clamp before. Is there a limitation on the diameter of the ring for this to work?

Thanks Norm. I don't have much for plans. I typically work from very minimalistic sketches, and this bowl is no exception. I'll attach all that I have, but it may not mean much to anyone but me.

Only limited by length of the chain. That’s a #60 chain.
