The sweeper keeps the segments away from the blade. I tried to keep it simple, 2 rubber bands, 2 sticks, and three wood screws.

What keeps the paddle from being destroyed by the blade? It looks like it hits the side of the blade when snapping back.
Pretty clever. Not so simple as the zero gap ramp I use though.
The other end of the arm has a 1/8 inch spacer that slaps back against the side of the sled.
Ok, after watching the video again, I see the spacer. It just doesn't show up in the still photo. Pretty clever.
I saw a Youtube video of a guy who was using a shopvac to suck up the pieces as soon as they were cut. I thought that was pretty clever, as long as you had lots of one size to cut.

Efficiency it intelligent laziness.... This is very good. Malcolm Tibbets had a sled that was angled away from the blade on the off cut side. That may have been a bit more simple.

I cannot seem to locate Malcom Tibbets Wedgie Sled. Any guidance would be appreciated.

That wedgie less sled looks like a good idea with the indexing holes.
