I'm not sure what RFC is, but LVL could stand for laminated veneer lumber, an engineered wood product used for framing house.

The LVL guy enlightened me two days later - you and @Darryl Fective are correct. Still not sure about RFC but Darryl may be right. This alphabet soup thing is getting out of hand ... just like all those government agencies!!!
