As you peruse the photo galleries, you will see my comments on many pictures with simply POD and a date.
POD stands for Photo Of the Day. I put that in there as a note that I picked that particular piece as the photo of the day and will remember that I have used it already. Otherwise, I would certainly repeat myself.

For what it's worth, photos are pretty much picked at random, with the exception of a series, like the AAW contest on boxes. (If I haven't put your box up as POD, email me). Sometimes, something just strikes me as being unique, other times, I just like that turning on that day. Most of all, it has to be a descent photo, since it is always on the AAW home page.

Just thought I would let you know.
 
By using POD instead of Photo Of the DAY, I have saved myself approximately 13 keystrokes. Over the course of a year (lets say I change it 150 times) that adds up to 1950 keystrokes I saved. I can use those keystrokes elsewhere, like here to explain why I explained, or something.
 
I could probably build you a keyboard shortcut which would put out "picture of the day". But it might break the rule of typing more than 1700 keys in the process. Also it would require that you simultaneously push 5 different keys - to avoid accidently activating the shortcut. :cool2:
 
Perhaps you could develop a whole new keyboard with built-in thermodynamic wisenheimers and turboencabulators to harness the kinetic energy from keystrokes and use it to power something vitally and socially important such as the built-in thermodynamic wisenheimers and turboencabulators to harness......

In the legal community, POD means 'payable on death'... We sure don't want THAT one to be confused with 'photo of the day'... <g>
