What to do with spanish cedar.......

Got two free pieces of 8/4 spanish cedar today , both a foot by 6 inches or so (sorry no pics right now).

Anyone turn spanish cedar? I'm tempted to resaw one of them with some maple or cherry and make a layered bowl.
 
I'm starting to itch just reading your post. I can't be around the stuff.

Of course your experience may be different.

Spanish Cedar

Good stuff....turned a couple of nice platters. You can laminate it or as you say mix it and get creative. (or) send it to me!!!!!
