Where have you located your lathe?

Being a lefty I use both sides of the lathe and a double ended headstock, really on three sides of the lathe. Rolling cabinet behind me with drawers and grinder, window behind tailstock for fresh air, in an oversized double garage with the usual flat work tools

Disagree. I turn outside in S. California and still wear a respirator. It’s the fine dust you cannot see that is the issue—carcinogenic over long term. I wear a PekeSafety Powercap and it’s even air-conditioned! Amazing how much dust is in the filter that would have been in my lungs.
I agree with Alan. I bought a PekeSafery Powercap, and I’ve been really amazed at the fine sawdust in the filter. I also wear glasses, and they never fog because of the fresh air flow that is in the helmet. I am totally satisfied with that purchase.

Hi, I did a workshop tour after my big clean up at Christmas. The video is in my Instagram here:

I rent the industrial workshop. It’s about 30 feet long and 12 feet wide over two floors. The tour is the ground floor workshop, upstairs is a small office, spray booth and a packing area.

Hope you enjoy the tour

Richard
