Who is Quinn Miller?

I got an email this morning that seems a little phishy...

I can't find that name. Don't click on any links!
The email doesn't mention the word "Symposium". The 2026 AAW Symposium is in Raleigh, NC. Could it be a non-symposium event?

Perhaps contact AAW directly and ask them. If someone is sending out nonsense in their name they might be interested. The executive director is listed as:
Gretchen Wilbrandt gretchen@woodturner.org

I see no Quinn Miller on the AAW website under business staff.

These are scams. They are selling a directory that, if you even get anything, will be either fabricated or old/stolen/useless data. They target many groups and/or events and/or companies.

First, as has been pointed out, it's not from the AAW and the info they are offering is for some bogus non-existent event.

And second - If you're an AAW member, you already have access online to the membership list (those who want to be listed) - https://www.woodturner.org/Woodturner/Woodturner/AAWConnects/Find-a-Member.aspx

This is definitely a scam. I get these several times a year - same body of text in the email - but always a different username and email address. A similar one circulated last year a few weeks before the AAW Symposium in St. Paul. Some of these scammers aren't bright enough to update the location.
