Searching for outboard toolrest ideas for my VL300 I came across a thread and then photos of your shop built rest using the 2" pipe, discarded rim and the part purchased from John Nichols. I'm assuming you built that close to 2 years ago, before I embark on a similar mission I'm wondering if you've experienced any issues with your toolrest or have any other thoughts you think are relevant.

Thanks!
Mike
