This quarters contest is Turned clocks as outlined in the article in the Winter 2008 Vol 23 #4 Issue of the AAW Journal.

The pieces must have been turned by the entrant between November 30th 2008 and the close of the contest Jan 2 - 2009 Midnight GMT.

The clock can be no greater than 12" in diameter. With the exception of the clock movement itself, it must be made entirely of wood. The wood itself may be embellished by dying, painting, pyrography, etc.
It must tell time, be turned by you (no collaboratives) and photos submitted by you.

The photos must be uploaded with a title of AAW Winter 2008 Contest.

You can only enter one clock but up to two photos.

Judging will be from a yet to be contacted wood turner.

If you have questions, shoot them on by.

Umm,Steve...

I hate to be picky, but you might want to say the "30 days have September..." poem to yourself and then check the dates of the contest again. :D;)

Found Objects???

I have an unusual antique cast metal base that I would like to incorporate, would that be considered "collaboration?"

Thanks Steve, I wasn't going to point out the 31 of November thing, in case you were going to be a judge :D

Sorry, I did leave out the part about all wood, so the cast base would not be allowed.

You win, it was actually my way of seeing if anyone was paying attention.
