The Wolvarine platform has a straight front. For grinding side angles on a scraper this can be done if the tool is about 3/4" wide as it still lays on the platform. However for narrow scrapers like 1/4" the tool is falling off the platform. Has anyone cut out a slot in front of the platform for the wheel so the platform better supports small width scrapers during side grinds?

Yes.

Mark the cutout on the platform while at one wheel, then move it to the other to see how well it is going to line up. You may have to widen it up a bit so it fits on both sides.

I also helps out with shorter parting tools and NRS'.
