Woodcut Pro tip revisited - sharpening

A year ago Raif Harik launched a thread about the Woodcut bowl gouge with the special tip. For those who don't imidiately recall the gouge, see picture.
Since the tip is quite short, I'd love to skip the trial-and-error approach and ask:
Has anyone found a nice recipe for the Tormek - or hints for the Wolverine Varigrind?
The two profiles I'm looking for are similar the ones seen below. Woodcut calls them 35° and 55°

I'm well aware that Woodcut have their own sharpening system, but I'll stick to the two I have, sorry Dan Hewitt.

There are great similarities with most sharpening jigs. I would suggest using whatever is your favourite angle and not be to too concerned about the length. The tips are considerably harder than nearly all other gouges around and thus have a superior edge holding capability. I have yet to hear of anybody complaining or even bringing the matter up about rapid loss of steel due to the need of frequent trips to the grinder. As a matter if interest they quite popular here in Australia for use on our hardwoods, so that says something about the life of the tip.
 
As I have never used one of the Woodcut gouges I'll take Hughie's word. Me being a connoisseur of all things Thompson Tool steel there is big differences in sharpening systems. I have had and used almost every sharpening system out there and found that the Vector Grind Fixture was the absolute best for me. It takes less steel to sharpen than any other I tried and used. It is a shame that they currently are no longer made. Vector and CBN have made it that I myself will never wear out the 5/8" and 1/2" gouges I've been using for years. There will be no need to open the Thompson Tool drawers to get a new gouge.
