I was asked what was the gadget used to turn the curved woodworms in my Gallery post “Wally, Wilma and Webster Woodworm”. The following figure shows the gadget that allows a circular segment of wood to be advanced bit-by-bit to align with the spin axis of the lathe. Two screws anchor the wood at each incremental advancement. The second figure shows a spent piece of a circular blank.
