Goin g to try my hand at some basket weave technique, and looking for an index wheel. Jet 1640 lathe has a 1 1/4" spindle. 12" to 14" would be great. 3D printed, used, generic, I'm easy. Anyone have something spare laying around?

Contact Doug Schneiter, he has a nice setup that he sells for basket illusion and also has some videos on the process, https://dougschneiter.com/services/
or if you want for a free one, you can make up your own index wheels with a free radial graph paper maker (online) put in the number of divisions you want and print it out and attach it to piece of 1/8" hardboard that's the same diameter, drill a spindle hole through it and mount it on your lathe behind the chuck. Then you make an L bracket that mounts to your lathe bed ( i used magnets on mine) with an upright that rides against the wheel, it is cut off at center height of your lathe and matches the horizontal lines on the wheel, a small hand clamp and you can easily advance from one division to the next.
I did this for years and it served me well.
