WTB - Large Vermec Sphere Jig

Note that if you find one that was made for lathe with less swing, Vermec should be able to make what you need to make it fit the 28" swing.

Note that another variable is the clamp to hold to the bed. Adapting an existing jig to your lathe may require modifying, constructing, or buying one with a different spacing. (An almost trivial task.)

AFAIK, everything else is the same. You can contact them with questions; they are very nice. :)

Thanks, John. I did plan to reach out to them initially but they’re closed as of Sept. 8 and reopening October 27, so I’m just a bit late. They have also suspended all sales/shipping to the U.S. due to tariffs (I believe it’s an Australian postal service issue as opposed to Vermec specifically). We shall see where it goes!

John, unless you acquire one that was made for use on the Robust AB, you will need to get a new base and clamp plate from Vermec. I used the sphere jig on my Oneway 2436. When I bought a Robust AB, Vermec made a new base and clamp plate. I got it earlier this year, when a tariff was in place, but not the postal issue.
 
Thanks, Donna, that’s good to know. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that things straighten out on the postal side (or maybe I’ll convince my wife we need to go to Australia!) and the tariff doesn’t make the price too crazy.
