I'm a woodturner from Chicago and my wife may be visiting Montreat College outside Asheville, NC for a week-long music program this coming June. I'm considering joining her if I can find any woodturning courses/classes/activities in the area to keep me busy while there. I'd appreciate any help you can give me. (By the way . . . I DID go to Carolina back in the 60's so it's not as if I'm a total outsider (Go Heels! Beat Dook!). Thanks, Dick

Arrowmont

Dick,

Check out Arrowmont in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. In June they have
Johannes Michelsen 5 - 11
Trent Bosch 12 - 18
David Nittman 19 - 25
Mark Gardner & Stony Lamar June 26 - July 9 (2 weeks)

Check out Arrowmont

For some, Arrowmont is synonymous with Nirvana or Mecca. :)

I enjoyed my week there very much.

A little farther away is John C. Campbell in Brasstown, NC.
