For those that haven’t heard, there will be a “Segmented Turning” symposium in November at the Marc Adams School near Indianapolis. With the internet expertise of Dennis Daudelin (of Woodturning Online fame), we have finally posted a website in order to share details, etc.

http://www.segmentedwoodturners.org/

What do you think of the site?

This will be a “first ever” type of event. It’s definitely an experiment to see if there’s enough interest. There will be plenty of worthwhile info for everyone including the “never-ever” segmenter.

Hope you can attend.

p.s. This is not an AAW sponsored event.

I have to find a way to attend this symposium. Let's see...sell the mother in law's car...roll the drunks on Main St......convince someone to buy one of my turnings. Naaa, I'll just ask the boss for the money.

I really wish I could make that.

Malcolm, your work is some of the most amazing I've seen and an inspiration to me.

I thought it sounded like a great idea the first time I read about, and reading the web-site makes me think so even more....but I will have just returned from a vacation to England, so it ain't gona happen this year.

WOW!!! I have the interest, desire and the need to attend. Just not the wallet. The site looks great!

I'll Find A Way

I have already made up my mind, I'm going (somehow)!!!
I was going to get a Monster hollowing rig next, but I think this is going to help me more in the long run.
I'm busy figuring funds, but I'll be there (can't wait).

3 Famous Segmented Turning Instructors

Wow, 3 famous segmented turning instructors at one time over a weekend!

Count me in!

And I love that web site!! (wink, wink)
