Today I learned something new. I had no idea that the gallery of images here has a "favorites" feature. What I can't find is who, or how many people mark a particular piece as a favorite. Any thoughts to enabling that? Also, my wife says we need to comment more on the work posted here.

Interesting question. New to me, too. And searching for "favorites" within FAQs came up blank.

Subject to correction, I suspect it enables you to create your own list, for your own exclusive use (obviously while logged in). That would be an improvement over my ham-handed file of photo numbers, whose location on my computer is usually a mysterious wild-goose chase.:o

Photo Favorites

Joe is correct. If you go to 'your gallery' and select a photo, there is an option to add to favorites. Click on it, and it will be added to your favorites, and will be marked as added.

I figured out the favorites function easily enough. I like the idea of using it for turning ideas. What would be interesting to know is if say 20 other people marked it as a favorite, or 2000. Would also be a ranking of sorts, among peers. Could also add something to the turning contests with the journal.

As a matter of routine I collect images from the net of all manner of bowls and hollow vessels. I use it as my personal reference library.
