That came out very well. Not an easy form, especially trying to keep the bark on. Well done.

Thanks Dean. It was the first time that I used a light source to see how thin and uniform I was turning. Actually there was a piece just before this one... but in the darkened shop, so that I could see the back light through the wings... well I adjusted the tool rest, just a tiny bit... and... well you know what happened on that one.

You have outdone yourself on this one John! I love the integration of a traditional base with the irregular shape of the natural edge top a rim. Terrific!
