Finished on 12/20/23, and sold for $175 on 1/16/24, this very unusual combination of curly and birdseye figures is something that I've not seen before. 7 1/16" x 1 15/16", 6.7oz, sanded to 600gt, Danish Oil Natural, Beall 3-step buffed. Original size was 8" x 2", so you can see that losing a little size is normal for bowl turning. Turning block was purchased in 2011, and was in storage for a decade before I got to it!......should have gotten to it sooner, because the grain is so special. The turning block appeared bad in that form, and that's why it took so long to finally decide to mount it.
