3 Vessels
sycamore, walnut, big leaf maple, largest 10-7/8d x 8, smallest 5d x 5-3/16
Is the big one in the middle the sycamore? Your description leads me to believe it should it's walnut, but I would have thought walnut woudl be darker. I don't get a chance to turn those types of wood so I'm guessing at the ID. Anyway I really like the big one. The picture background on the other hand.......... hmmmmmm.............

Yes, the big one is the sycamore (spalted). The "hideous" background is better in the printed photo. The reduction quality was necessary for internet posting. I created the backound as an attention grabber and it seems to work. A modern flare for the younger generation. I'm seeking ways to get the attention of a different audience. Breaking tradition is tough but there is little to loose and much to gain.

S Clark: The background is a little distracting, but scantily clad women would STILL be more distracting to this old dog...
I like the sycamore piece the best. The others would have been more to my taste with lower feet, but the craftsmanship looks outstanding.
Ed: How old ARE you ("GOT" your attention?)???

Yes, my wife says I spend too much time with my lathe too. So I took her out last night; since I had to leave to drop work of for a show anyway.
