A Mathematician's Dream

A semi-moebius, semi-minimal surface, piece based on a a 3,2 torus knot with the cross section of a hypocycloid. You may understand that if you are really into math and geometry, but otherwise just enjoy it as it is.

Elder Burl 9 x 3, Bush oil
Base is bleached birch, no finish (13 H with base)
Another brain teaser Mike with a beautiful focal piece & associated cradle.
I am lost with your first sentence :) but it doesnt matter, ... I see what I see... a fabulous piece of art
Pete

Mike: Math or No Math this is an excellent turning! I too would love to see this done. We need to get you on the demonstrator rotation in Tampa next year.
