A Spherical Project

I learned how to make spheres many moons ago, taught by my first woodturning mentor Jim Mathias, who sadly is no longer with us. No special jigs or measuring tools here. Just good old fashioned tool work and eye-hand coordination, like I was taught. I learned how to create the groove details from Dale Larson when he visited my woodturning chapter some years ago. Most of my spheres end up rolling about in one of my flower gardens, where they will crack and weather, along with adding some whimsy to the garden.
