This box has been hand-turned from special and rare muninga from the Solomon Islands. It has worm holes and is highly figured. The insert is desert jasper. It is 3 inches by 2.5 inches. (80mm x 65mm)T
Robert, for a pretty simple form you have pulled together many elements that all work to the utmost. The wood itself is a loud statement. Yet you give it a wonderful curve from the base coming up and over. That little tiny dip before your insert gives the eye a slight pause then wow, worth the pause with your nice flowing insert. This box is so nice I am giving you third place in this contest.
