This was a gift for a friends son. He is a Captain in the Air Force.
Very nice. How did you get the lettering so perfect and the lines in the figure so crisp? ...thanks, Jeff
 
The logo is printed with my computer on an Avery Inkjet Clear Full page label. Avery # 8665. Any thing that appears white on a picture will be clear on the label. The grain still shows through the colors too. I think it works best on light colored close-grained woods. The platter is maple and there are 3 or 4 coats of clear lacquer sprayed over it after the label is applied. I've also made them with Army, Navy, and Marine logos.
