Aluminum finial with acrylic

The finial is turned aluminum that I used a knurling tool on for the texture after turning the end of the piece to accept the acrylic ball that I wanted to place in it. I turned the end, drilled two size holes them cut the end off- I wanted to fold the long points around the acrylic ball like a diamond on a ring. Then I drilled a hole to accept the tenon from the top finial of turned aluminum. The overall size of the finial is 5 7/8 inches tall, the tenon on the base is 1 inch long by 3/4 inch wide.
