550mm long , 20 plus inches made from NewZealand Rimu ,Turned without the aid of waste blocks .Gold leaf and acylic followed by 10 coats of laquer
This piece was one of my entries into The Royal Easter show http://www.naw.org.nz/gallery.htm
The competition was steep this year with more entries than ever before .I missed with this piece but am happy with getting Best of Show see the above link for all the entrants .
This piece was a challenge by Alby hall and Robbie Graham to do a big Midas after they spotted one of my pieces on the WOW site
