Birch Hollow Form

This is 5" x 3" with black gesso inside.
Lin-yes I like it.

Two questions.

How did you do the top lip opening? e.g. bandsaw and round over with gouges and files?

When did you apply the gesso.?Before or after the outside was finished?

This is one of the few applications I have seen with gesso on wood bowls.
