Black Cherry bowl - 5.5”d x 1.5”h

I love the curves on this little bowl! I turned it to about 1.5mm thickness and oriented the grain so there would be a graceful arc in the rim as it dried. The exterior is painted with black acrylic paint, and finished with lacquer. I left a small section of bark/cambium unpainted (but still oiled) for a nice contrast. The interior is finished with orange oil and wax.
