Camatillo Capsule Box

Camatillo Capsule Box

This capsule box turned from Camatillo, also know as Mexican Kingwood has a very polished feel and it has a nice Rosewood smell. A true dalbergia species is has very tight growth rings, a dark royal purple heartwood, and this box has a nice sapwood contrast feature in the center of the box. Turned, hollowed, and finished with wax and gloss lacquer. Size is approx. 1 7/8" inches wide and 2 1/4" tall. Overall this wood is kind of dark for a rosewood, but looks really beautiful under the light!
