Canyon Light
Jim McLain

Canyon Light

Early piece inspired by the morning light in the sandstone canyons around Socorro. This was the first of two pieces I have the privilege of having in the Long Collection. Made from Pecan about 7 wide by 14 tall. Carved, burnt and air brushed in two directions while on the lathe.
Nice one, Jim. Love the deep texture, which is very effective when airbrushing in opposing directions. I really like that technique.
