Cherry Natural Edge

Cherry Natural Edge

11.5 inches long and 8.75 wide. The end grain blotched out on me some, and the CA glue in the cracks also bled into the surrounding wood a bit, but still I like the form on this NE bowl.
nicely balanced. I ususally don't like footed vessels, but this one looks good with one. (run a bit of wax in the surrounding area before you ca...when you turn it will disappear..or a tad of shellac)

Hi,

Very nice bowl. I would suggest a steeper angle starting from the foot. It looks a bit "heavy assed", know what I mean?

Herb,

Thanks for your critique........it was my intention to do the form the way it is..........the curve is just what I wanted to put there, and for this particular one I wanted the curving shape and not a straighter angle from the foot, but I have seen the shape you are referring to, and it is nice.........probably one like that in my future......thanks!
