Cloud Forms

This trio was turned from the sweet smelling Sassafras wood. This wood species is soft with small growth rings that yield some interesting grain flow patterns. This group is a continuation of my sandwashed series.

Finish: Sandblasted, dyed, polyurethaned and lime waxed

#312 Dark Violet is 9 1/2" H x 5 1/4" D,
#308 Dark Green is 9" H x 5 1/2" D,
#309 Dark Red is 7 3/4" H x 5" D,

The forms are certainly graceful and match perfectly, and the colors, in my mind, add to the gracefulness. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Bob, after sandblasting I dye the piece and seal the color in with urethane them I lime it. After the liming wax dries I seal it with paste wax. I used the same process on my "Concentricity" posting yesterday.
