Hollow Form - 451

Both the form and the base are Sweet Gum. The form is 4.25" dia x 5.75" tall and has a round bottom. The base is about 6.5" square. The piece was turned, carved and scorched. It's finished with Danish oil and buffed with carnauba wax. The inside is painted gold.
Truly exceptional. I like sweet gum, but I never thought of scorching it. Thanks for the idea...and congratulations.
