Thanks Michael. I had never turned dogwood before. Coming from NC, where dogwoods rarely grew very big and generally weren't great for any larger turnings, I was surprised with the size of this log in Oregon. In addition to this hollow form, I turned a couple 9" bowls that I will post in the future. The stark contrast between heartwood and sapwood is amazing.
