Mesquite "Basket"

This was inspired by a Native American basket form I saw recently. Someone has since mentioned that it has a calabash look. I suppose it does but that was not my intent. I would say that great functional form was developed far and wide in the world by the cultures who evolved vessels for their needs in different mediums. 8" tall and 8" wide.

Very nice, David ... as is all your work. I really like that dot/dash look near the rim. Wonder how that would look on the main body band? Pretty good I would think. 😇

Thanks Tom. I think it would look great as a border, top and bottom, to the feature band.. Good suggestion.
