Using a canary wood cutoff, i demonstrated the coil-branding, silver-leaf, patina embellishment technique. It turned out so nice, that I made a box out of it.
Wowser e! This is gorgeous. I can see why you wanted to make a box of it. The box is beautiful too. I like how you used walnut (I assume) for the base to tie in the color variations of the patina top.
thanks molly! -- yes, the bottom is walnut. i wanted something very contrasting to set off the top. it's actually a piece of walnut someone at the demo brought to play on ... i'm such a wood-scavenger!
