Distorted cup form

Distorted cup form

Three inches diameter, walnut burl cup form. The walnut burl was saturated when this piece was turned and over time the cell walls collapsed (that is my speculation, anyway) and the form distorted as it dried out. Finish is wax. The fun part of this piece is it was based on a Tom Coleman porcelain form that is distorted in a similar way.
