Made from Horse Chestnut This piece is approx 200mm x 75mm Carved, textures and pyrographed

I was trying to demonstrate the ideas of earth life and sky through the colours in this piece it is designed as a view into piece rather than a look at piece Quite often I find that work is best viewed from the side and so wanted to do something that was best viewed from above

I have been going back through photos enjoying fellow turners creativity when I got to this picture. My first thought was I bet that is one of Richard Kennedy's pieces. Really, really nice.
