Enigma variant

Based on Scottish prehistoric cup and ring markings carved by ancient peoples in the bed rock of Argyll and other places these pieces (4) were made for an exhibition in a local museum. I haven't done a great deal of off centre turning but after a little thought and the discovery of some lead under the caravan (counter weight) I thought I would have a try The surface is a combination of blow torch, fuming and oil. After completing this I took it to photograph where I realised just how many variations you can arrange the 4 pieces to make numerous different shapes.
